Parallel Flow Evaporative Condenser

Lynxcool is a leading Chinese manufacturer of Parallel Flow evaporative condensers, operating its own production facilities. In this design, both the airflow and water flow travel downward — distinguishing it from counter-flow models where the two streams move in opposite directions.

What is Parallel Flow Evaporative CONDENSER?


The condenser uses water and air as cooling media to exchange heat with high-temperature refrigerant gas flowing through the coil tubes, condensing the gas into liquid. A circulation pump distributes cooling water through spray nozzles onto the outer surface of the condenser coils. Hot refrigerant gas enters from the top of the coil bundle and releases heat to the water film and the high-volume airflow passing over the tubes.

A portion of the water evaporates, carrying away large amounts of heat; the vapor is exhausted to atmosphere by the fan. Remaining water passes through a PVC fill layer for further cooling before returning to the basin for recirculation. A float valve automatically replenishes water lost to evaporation.

Component Specifications


Each unit incorporates the following engineered components:


Component

Description

Heat Transfer Coil

Profiled high-frequency welded steel tubes; uniform wall thickness. Pressure-tested at 2.5 MPa, then hot-dip galvanized. Non-circular profile eliminates dry spots for significantly higher heat-exchange efficiency.

Casing

2 mm aluminium-zinc coated steel (Korean import). All cut edges coated with zinc-rich paint. Optional stainless steel basin available.

Spray System

Large-flow, anti-clog basket-style nozzles on corrosion-resistant PVC distribution pipes. Serviceable while running. Nozzle spacing ensures continuous, uniform coil surface coverage.

Drift Eliminators

Multi-pass GRP (fibreglass) eliminators reduce drift loss to below 0.001%. Modular panels are removable for internal access. Also protects against debris and direct sunlight.

PVC Fill Layer

Honeycomb cross-flow PVC packing for uniform water distribution. Bio-corrosion resistant, non-brittle, and age-resistant.

Circulation Pump

Dedicated evaporative-condenser pump: low wattage, high flow, low head, outdoor-rated for long service life. Optional electronic scale inhibitor available.

Fan

Axial fans with corrosion-resistant aluminium alloy hollow-injection blades. Installed in a streamlined housing for maximum efficiency. Belt-driven centrifugal fans offer inherently low noise and are externally serviceable.

Sealing

High-temperature polyurethane sealant cures to a smooth, flexible finish for long-term leak prevention across temperature extremes.
